Promo Fruits Bénin SARL is a pineapple processor producing canned pineapple. The company is rooted in a 2001 campaign by the National Farmers’ Association aimed at preventing a total collapse of Benin's pineapple sector. With support from this campaign, farmers from the Allada region set up the IRA cooperative to produce traditional pineapple juice. In 2010, the cooperative members agreed to set up the company Promo Fruits Bénin to be more competitive in the market.

Allada city (home to the company's processing unit) is one of Benin's biggest pineapple production areas and surrounded by the eight townships of the Atlantique Department where 97% of all pineapples are grown. Promo Fruits Bénin is an important income provider for local people. The unit is supplied by almost 2,500 pineapple growers (mainly IRA Cooperative members and farmers' groups). 

Promo Fruits Bénin has been an Oikocredit partner since 2014.
