Improving livelihoods of low to middle-income clients in Patagonia

The financial company Cordial Compañía Financiera S.A. (CCF) provides financial services to mid-and low-income people lacking access to conventional banking services in Argentina’s Patagonia region.

CCF is part of Grupo Supervielle, which focuses on offering financial services to individuals and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through an extensive distribution network across the country. In 2016 the company reached more than 450,000 clients.

The company has been an Oikocredit partner since 2018.

Not only does expanding access to financial services for SME owners contribute to poverty reduction, but it also prevents urban migration to Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital city, where many labour migrants end up in informal, poorly paid jobs.
