Prasac MFI Ltd (Prasac) started in 1995 as an EU-funded project facilitating rural development programmes. In 2004, Prasac became a limited company licensed by the National Bank of Cambodia to operate as a microfinance institution (MFI).
Today, Prasac is one of Cambodia’s largest MFIs, operating countrywide and serving tens of thousands of borrowers, around half of whom are women.
Oikocredit first partnered with Prasac in 2005.
